what Susie says of Sally

first off, I'm so sorry for going MIA for a week...please forgive me
you know like the people that go for parties (Nigerian parties in particular)
every weekend and always eat out of all the food available... I had a lot going on on my plate...😅 but I'm back now..
True story: I was looking for what to make this post about and had no ideas then randomly while scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled on a post that said and I quote "what Susie says of Sally says more of Susie than of Sally" and somehow I had hit jackpot....
basically what that quote is saying is, what you (lets call you Susie) says about others (lets call them Sally) says more about you than about him/her so while you might think you're bringing them down or 'shading' them it's actually backfiring and you are shading yourself... you'll then be known as the gossip, the rumor monger, the person who's always in other people's business looking for whats not looking for them (LOL)...but true talk I know gossiping about people may be fun sometimes as it always brings 'gist' but its not really going to add anything to you, the person you're 'gisting' or the person you guys are gisting about apart from entertainment for the moment and quite frankly there are other means of getting entertainment for the moment...
So my advice is next time you are tempted to talk about somebody first think about if what you are saying is true, if it is good, if you will be able to say it in front of the person(s) that are concerned.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
I hope I have been able to reclaim my space back in you heart, if not I'll try harder I promise...
